Henry, an English writer, publishes a book and soon discovers that readers are not interested in reading romance novels that extol the virtues of chastity. Henry, suffering a severe setback, decides that his career is over. But unexpectedly his novel becomes a bestseller in Mexico, and now he has to go on a book tour of the country. Knowing nothing about Mexico, Henry reluctantly agrees to go there, and soon meets Maria, who translated his book into Spanish.
